Nokia Asha 300 launched


Nokia the leading mobile manufacturers in the world have come up with yet another showstopper, the Nokia Asha series of smartphones. 2011 had been the year of androids, touch-screen phones and not to forget the angry birds the popular game of 2011. Nokia Asha is one of the four new Nokia Asha series smartphones announced at Nokia World 2011 in London. Nokia Asha 300 is Touch and Type smartphone which comes with a traditional 12-key numerical pad and a portrait touchscreen. This is a really affordable 3G enabled GSM phone built with excellent features one could ask for. But the Multi touch isn’t supported, but that is due to disadvantages of using a cheaper resistive touchscreen.

We have pioneered many initiatives in this space starting with pre-installed music, launch of music albums on mobile phones and then ‘Nokia music unlimited’ for our hi-end phones. Our latest offering on feature phones underscores our commitment to democratise music by taking it to the masses.” In Indian markets, Nokia has faced stiff competition from local players like Micromax and Karbonn. Though it is still market leader in the country, its share has come down by over 20% in the last few years.
